Hi -- Thanks for visiting my profile page!

I’m really excited to be riding from Dallas to DC with the R4WH team.  As a medical-student-to-be (come this fall), I am keenly interested in a career devoted to improving health in Southeast Asia, where I’m from.  The Ride for World Health struck me as a great opportunity to join forces with energetic, like-minded people to raise money for worthy organizations and spread awareness about global health issues.

The feature of the Ride that I’m most excited about is the coast-to-coast lecture series. The “coast-to-coast” aspect of it has me fired up because that means I’ll get to see more of this huge and wonderfully diverse country. I couldn’t imagine a better way to soak it all in than on a bike. On a bike, there’s nothing between you and the countryside but the wind. Beyond the biking though, the lectures give our ride purpose and meaning.  As we pedal across the country, we spread education in our wake. It is our small effort to make these health issues more present in the minds of those we meet – a little information can be a powerful thing.

Since 2006, the Ride for World Health has raised over $500,000 for organizations that are making life better for people around the world. Amazing groups like Partners in Health and Doctors without Borders number among the Ride’s past beneficiaries. I hope you’ll donate and join me in making this year’s Ride the best yet!
