Hello!  Thanks for your interest in Ride for World Health!  I grew up in Clarkston, Michigan, attended Oakland University, and traveled to the Great Buckeye State to attend medical school at The Ohio State University!  I will be graduating in June of 2010 and intend to pursue a career in pathology - yes... I LOVE microscopes!

Maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle has always been a priority in my life.  Most of my childhood was spent traveling all over the country from one soccer field to another and soccer is still one of my great passions.  I competed at a collegiate level during undergrad as a member of Oakland University’s Varsity Women’s Soccer team.  However, I am a newbie to cycling! I welcome the physical challenge and the opportunity to see our country and meet new people as a member of Ride for World Health!

As an undergraduate and a medical student I have been involved in programs that help to educate students about the lack of access to health care that plagues many Native American communities in the Unites States.  Ride for World Health adopts a global perspective and I am looking forward to having the opportunity to educate our nation’s communities about the health disparities that are present both within our own borders and around the world.
