I'm Maggie Rosen, a soon to be fourth year medical student at THE Ohio State University.  I was born and raised in the booming metropolis of Columbus, OH and of course had to stick around for medical school.  I'm currently undecided about my future career path and planning to wait until the last possible minute to make my decision; there are just too many exciting possibilities out there. I do however hope to pursue global health opportunities through whatever I choose, and in order to better understand the issues, I couldn't help but be involved in the ride.

During medical school I was able to spend a summer in Lusaka, Zambia seeing first hand some of the effects of HIV/AIDS on the people there.  I feel like I only had a glimpse into some of the health issues that exist throughout the world and hope to learn as much as I possibly can through this experience and specifically what we can do to make a positive impact around the world.

I took part in another cross country bike ride during college and even before starting at Ohio State when I heard about the ride I knew I wanted to be a part of it.  I had experienced first hand the impact a group of people cycling cross country can have for a worthy cause both financially and through education of all the people encountered along the way.  I've been anxiously waiting for my fourth year to come around so I can ride coast to coast one more time!
