Adult: $30 until May 23rd, $35 race-day registration
Student: $20 until May 23rd, $25 race-day registration |
Routes: |
20-mile route will begin/end at Riley's Lock and go through scenic Maryland country roads, alongside peach and strawberry orchards! |
Why: |
Ride for World Health cyclists ride 3,700 miles across the US in order to raise money and awareness for global health and we need your help. This year, special awards will be given to those riders who help fundraise for this worthy cause. So encourage friends and family to support you as you ride with the Ride for World Health team! Proceeds from this event go to organizations that work to provide quality healthcare to all those in need. Donations will be collected on the day of the event and prizes will be mailed to your home. In addition to the prizes listed below, those who donate will receive special recognition on the Ride for
World Health website.

Ride for World Health is a national, nonprofit organization which advocates for improvements in the quality and accessibility of global healthcare. The mission of R4WH is to address global health disparities by focusing on education, advocacy, and fundraising which are addressed by utilizing a national cycling event as a vehicle for change. This year, we are proud to have Village Health Works and Esperanca as our beneficiaries.
Directions to Riley's Lock:
From the Maryland Beltway: Take the westbound River Road (Exit 39, Route 190) to Potomac. Continue on River Road for ~11 miles until it comes to a T. Make a left to stay on River Road. Go ~ ½ mile until you reach the bottom of the long hill. Make the left before the bridge into Riley's Lock. Parking area near the end of the road.
From Leesburg, VA: Take Whites Ferry across the Potomac River. Follow paved Route 107 through Poolesville. About 2 miles after Poolesville, bear right onto Partnership Road. Follow until it ends, then make a left onto River Road. Go ~ ¾ miles, cross over the bridge at the bottom of the big hill, and make an immediate right AFTER the bridge into Riley's Lock. Parking area near end of the road.
Ride for World Health Solidarity Rides require only a small minimum donation to participate. However, we encourage rider fundraising as an opportunity to show support for the efforts of R4WH and their beneficiaries! Awards and recognition are given to top fundraisers.
